Brilliant weekend had by all !
2 days, 32 Sessions, ~130 people, an endless amount of ideas and opportunities.
We had 4 UG members there and certainly no regrets other than it came to an end.

TestFest

The PHP-QA team would like to announce the TestFest for the month of May 2008. The TestFest is an event that aims at improving the code coverage of the test suite for the PHP language itself. As part of this event, local User Groups (UG) are invited to join the TestFest. These UGs can meet physically or come together virtually. The point however is that people network to learn together. Aside from being an opportunity for all of you to make friends with like minded people in your (virtual) community, it also will hopefully reduce the work load for the PHP.net mentors.

SimpleXML ist eine Funktionsbibliothek von PHP, die es ermöglicht einfach (eben “simple”) auf XML Daten zuzugreifen und mit ihnen umzuspringen. Das schöne daran: Sie startete mit PHP 5 und unterstützt Objektorientierte Programmierung von PHP 5.
Auf dem Usergruppen Treffen am 13. März 2008 habe ich einen Stand-Up-Vortrag über das Extenden von SimpleXML gehalten den ich nun mit diesem Beitrag auf unserer Homepage nachbereiten und erweitern möchte. Einfache eigene Erfahrungen mit SimpleXML sind von Vorteil zum Verständnis des Artikels. weiter…
